Torchy's Tacos - Glen Allen: Creative and Authentic Texas-Style Tacos in Virginia

I'm so happy to see Torchy's in Virginia. I was introduced to Torchy's when living in Austin, TX and dearly missed it after moving. You can throw a dart at the menu and the taco is going to be awesome. There is also a monthly rotating taco of the month that, so far, have been excellent options. Apart from the excellent tacos, the Hillbilly Queso is a family favorite. Portion wise, I'm a big eater, and two tacos will fill you up...especially if you get some queso too. Beer, wine, and mixed drinks are available and generally a very good selection; my wife is very fond of their sangria. If you haven't tried elevated street tacos, give Torcy's a chance.

Jeffrey was a great cashier, telling us about the items to help us make our choices. Later he came to our table to make sure everything was good and he even suggested their ranch salsa and brought us a free sample. Clean, affordable, friendly and great food!

Before I talk about the food, I have to mention the staff. Everyone is so friendly and attentive. You want for nothing while you’re here. Never have to ask for a refill, if you run low on chips, they bring you more, they check on you to make sure you’re happy but not overly so. I have been at this and the Midlothian location several times and both the food and service are consistently excellent. The restaurant is open concept with a bar area, table seating as well as a patio area with umbrellas. The bar is nicely stocked and they specialize in fresh squeezed margaritas and vodka lemonade. The green chile queso is a must have and signature item. You really cannot select a bad burrito or taco. I believe I have tried almost every option so far. There is a happy hour Monday through Friday from 3-6pm where tacos are $1 off, $2 off certain drinks and $1.50 off beers. Restaurant is always clean and well cared for. You owe it to yourself to visit Torchys.

I stopped in for quick margarita (ok I got 2) and everything was great! Margaritas made just right, cowboy queso hit the spot and the staff are great! Rhianna (cashier) & Louis (bartender) took care of me. They are social, friendly and accommodating to your needs. The manager is also great! He assisted me with a few things. I’m a Texan, so I’m happy to have Torchies here. There is no wifi, So that was disappointing.

Mind blowing selection of very creative tacos! Really well thought out ingredients combinations. They run large and 2-3 at about $6 each does the trick. Service very friendly, reasonably fast, counter-order with table-delivery. Seems like a good place to hang with your buds. Outdoor seating about 10 tables. Will definitely return.

Great service with good food. Plenty of options from bowls, to tacos and burritos. Highly recommend trying Torchy's!!!

Good stop for creative tacos! Cheese dip is a must. Great blend of flavors.

First time here! Nice establishment with friendly staff. Food was underwhelming though. Lacked flavor to me. I tried trailer park tacos and queso. Chicken did not have any seasoning. Queso wasn’t that great to me , but there are many options here so maybe in the future I’ll Try something else.
